Several years ago, when I started NANDANIE, I was often asked the same question: “Do women actually wear ties?”.
For many, the idea felt foreign. A necktie was seen as traditional, structured- even gendered. But I believed something different. I believed a tie could be elegant. Feminine. Powerful. A statement. A choice.
Fast forward to today, I’m no longer asked that question.
We see women wearing ties everywhere. In media. On red carpets. On talk shows. Think Drew Barrymore. Kelly Ripa. Stylists, executives, creatives — all redefining what modern power dressing looks like.
And just last week, walking the streets of New York, I saw woman after woman styling ties in their own way- layered, relaxed, tailored, expressive.
What once felt unconventional now feels completely natural.
That evolution is exactly why I created NANDANIE- the first women’s luxury necktie brand and it continues to inspire me every day.

The question is no longer “Do women wear ties?”
It’s “How will you wear yours?”
